A few months ago, the only thing I knew about marketing was;

It’s run by a group of hackers that want you to buy everything.

This was plain old ignorance. Lately, I’ve grown so interested in Marketing. I’ve Read Seth Godin’s blog every day for the last 1 month, and everything happening around me has taught me one thing.

The single most important accelerator of growth is marketing and sales. Not Design (Sorry), not Engineering, but marketing and sales.

Let’s look at it this way.

If ever in your life, you have the audacity to think of a great idea, one worth calling a business. You’ve worked really hard to hire the best product designers and engineers to work on it, but you have no well-organized strategy to get words across to people?

This is nothing but disrespect. For the idea, for the lives of the people you hire, for your time and energy, for investor’s resources.

Here’s a basic truth;

The person with the biggest net will catch more fish. The person with the smartest strategy to reach more people, provide genuine value and build trust, will get more people to buy from them.

Thanks for stopping by.
