key experiences
On Youtube, it’s watching videos from anywhere on earth, on Twitter, it’s tweeting to the biggest celebrities, on Instagram, it’s sharing images and videos, on Pinterest, it’s pinning images for later. All these are the features that make these apps and products stand out.
If a new product doesn’t offer key experiences, it shouldn’t exist; A new product should make things better, easier, cheaper or faster.
But that’s half of the story. The other half is the concept of an MVP. An MVP shouldn’t test anything else than key experiences. If a product will make something faster, an MVP should test if people want it faster. Nothing more, nothing less.
As always, It’s easier said than done.
