What You Definitely Think Design is.

Design has meant a few different things to me in these little years. My earliest moments in Design were abstract and unrealistic. They were about a popular and singular story; Design is problem-solving. Even when I was solving no obvious ones.

It turns out that was just part of the problem.

The other half was the thinking that every other person who didn’t see Design in this way was getting it all wrong.

It’s about a year later and “I think” I’m getting the whole story…

Design is everything, as a result, means no specific thing to anyone. And that’s totally okay.

Those who think it’s more about the visuals have a story they tell, that’s what design means to them.

Those who see it as the scientific method for businesses and can tell stories without even knowing how to mask an image.

Those who think it’s a way of life where everything is intentional can design their lives.

Those who design worlds through art, writing, and videography can make people feel better.

Everyone’s right, design is everything. But here’s one thing it isn’t;

What you definitely think it is.
