Roger or Tiger?

By Alan O’Hashi from True Stories of a Mediocre Writer

I’ve always been too much of a generalist to get really proficient at one skill. This picture was taken during a fiddling workshop led by my high school classmate Bob Matthews during my violin playing phase.

Being an all-purpose writer, I tend to put myself into various and diverse situations that have unclear outcomes. I like to connect seemingly unrelated stories that have a common theme.

Not knowing how things will end up is a good challenge for me. I don’t interpret results as either good or bad. They are just outcomes without judgment.
