We love meeting new people

Everywhere we go we meet people from all over the world. One of our favorite activities is people watching, so when we go out to eat somewhere, we are always watching and listening more than we are talking to each other. I guess that’s the writer in me. Plus, we are together 24/7 in a 300 square-foot camper so we talk to each other all the time.
Tonight we went to a little dive bar called Coconut Jack’s on South Padre Island for supper. We hadn’t been there yet and I wanted to see the sunset on the bay. We made it just in time to get a few good pictures.
This view is looking west across the Laguna Madre Bay towards Port Isabel on the mainland. We’ve been told that the sunset views from South Padre Island are world known. When we arrived and went out to the deck, the beach below us was lined with people, couples young and old, just watching the sunset. Some were holding hands and others were taking pictures.
