Backroad. Photo by author.

We always take a day to drive backroads and get a little lost wherever we go. It wasn’t hard to do in the Allegheny Mountains this past week because we had no cell phone signal and therefore no GPS map.

Deer. Photo by author.

First of all we found some deer while driving through the forest.

Young deer bucks. Photos by author.

We stopped the truck and sat still watching three young bucks who in turn were watching us. Rich says it is always a good day when we see some wildlife, even if it is just deer.

Bald Knob Summit. Photo by author.

We camped at Blue Knob State Park on Bald Knob Mountain. The campground was beautiful and peaceful. With no cell phone reception on our Verizon phones, no television channels, and nothing else to do, we drove around a lot.
