Our Introduction to Ireland Today
Travel with us over two weeks, as we visit the island country of Ireland
This won’t be my best post because we’ve been traveling for the last thirty hours. My husband and I have traveled from Wisconsin, USA to Ireland.
Although we arrived in Dublin, we had to travel to Galway today by bus, train, and finally, taxi to reach our accommodations on the Salthill Promenade. We’ll be traveling back from west to east, returning to Dublin at the end of our trip.
All trips have glitches — whether you admit them or not but ours was discovered this morning when we went to the luggage carousel in the Dublin airport and discovered my bag had not arrived.
We patiently waited until all the bags were taken except for two — neither mine. We asked to whom we should speak and were directed to the American Airlines Baggage counter.
There, I filled out paperwork and spoke with an agent who was immediately able to tell me that my bag had never left Dallas! Now, we left Minneapolis yesterday afternoon and went to Dallas. Our bags, one each for my husband and I, were checked in to our final destination in Dublin. His arrived and mine didn’t.
There it is, the glitch.
