We returned to Idaho Falls to visit dear friends and pick up the trailer we left behind when we hit the road full-time in our motorhome. After selling nearly everything we owned, Tommy’s truck, and my Jeep, we opted for a storage facility in Idaho Falls to store the things we couldn’t take with us. It seemed perfect: a good neighborhood, reasonable rates, and our friends had used it without issues.

We didn’t go back to check out our trailer for a couple of years. When we returned to Idaho to visit our friends who enjoyed bowling, we went to retrieve our bowling balls from the trailer and found that a lock had been cut off. At first, it didn’t seem like anything was missing, but I scratched my head when I opened my bag at the bowling alley to find my shoes gone and a half pack of Camel cigarettes in their place. Strange. 🥴

The new facility owners mentioned some folks had been living there illegally and had been tossed out. We assumed they were the culprits and moved on, replacing the lock they’d cut.

Now that we’re settled at the RVICS Village in Smithville, Texas, we needed to bring the trailer there to unload it into our shed…
