The InsureTech space is currently seeing a movement towards more customer-focused, and better-designed products. This shift from less intuitive software with traditionally poor customer experiences is helping to change the perception of the industry from a consumer perspective. At Truepic we are creating products that are helping to push that surge forward. We are designing tools that are easy to use, decrease reliance on third parties, and increase the speed and reliability of insurance processes with intuitive user interfaces.

Truepic Vision is our virtual inspection platform that provides tools for both insurers and their customers. We have created an end-to-end solution, that brings a design first approach to InsureTech products. But what does that mean? For our purposes, it means we’re creating tools and solutions that make sure a great internal and end customer experience comes first. Our goal is to create an intuitive and inclusive product that solves a global need.

Specifically, we’re creating software that can help target and prevent photo fraud or manipulation

What is that “need” though that Truepic Vision is solving? We are creating software to remove the hassle of relying on third-party, in-person inspections to take place before a customer can receive their policy or much-needed funds as a result of a claim. Specifically, we’re creating software that can help target and prevent photo fraud or manipulation, while also drastically reducing the amount of time necessary to create, start, and complete an insurance event.

Throughout the virtual inspection process, we enable both the carrier and their customer to move at a speed that suits them. There is no longer a reliance on outside vendors who are only available during “normal” business hours. We are tackling two of the major pain points associated with inspections; customer experience and fraud.

We are seeing completion times in hours or minutes

With thoughtful and intentional design choices we have seen significant reduction in event completion times. Typical events can take days or weeks to be completed, but we are seeing completion times in hours or minutes. That timeline includes a customer reaching out to an insurer, that insurer creating a new event, the customer downloading our white-labeled application, and the customer alerting the insurer when they are done taking the necessary photos.

Truepic Vision is designed to simultaneously solve both a long-standing business need; the drastic increase in image fraud and metadata manipulation, as well as the consumer need; a thoughtful, intuitive experience. In the long run, if we’re able to prevent insurance fraud before it happens we may even start to see a decline in insurance premiums.
