We have endured a year of difficult choices at Truepill, and this week unfortunately is among the toughest. We have made the decision to reduce our workforce by 20% in order to focus entirely on our core pharmacy experience business and reduce costs.

Over the last few years, we have been relentless in our pursuit of the right solution and market fit. We expanded our offerings and grew our platform quickly in the process.

This week’s decision resulted both from a moment of reflection and an acknowledgement of Truepill’s greatest strengths: delivering exceptional pharmacy experiences through our APIs, fulfillment, and core infrastructure. This also means divesting solutions that are not aligned with our long-term path to profitability.

In a start-up environment, you hope you never have to say goodbye to any part of your business or your team. However, in reality, it’s those hard choices that define future success. We wish our departing colleagues the best and are committed to ensuring a smooth transition.
