Our People: Cherie Hanley, Paralegal
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am happily married to my soulmate while also a proud mother of one son and a grandmother to two grandsons — quite ironic being the eldest of four daughters. My passion is piloting my 90,000 cubic foot hot air balloon named Believe! My husband is a retired Captain, which afforded him a unique chance to become a corporate flight attendant for about ten years. We traveled internationally, often daily, and frequented Asia, South Africa, South America, Australia, and Europe. We purchased our first sailing yacht in Hong Kong and took a three-year sabbatical to sail the seas. After repatriating to the USA, I returned to my paralegal career. We just bought a Class A motorhome and are ready for the next adventure.
What do you do at Truepill?

I previously worked as a Paralegal for a Florida-based corporation’s Enterprise Risk Management & Compliance team. My career has included Paralegal roles in medium and large law firms and corporate law departments specializing in corporate law, civil and class-action litigation, and employment law in oil & gas, energy, and healthcare management industries.
What is it like to work in your field?
Although the legal profession demands precision, organization, and attention to detail, it is rewarding to interact with employees across all departments while performing the job. Each day has unique circumstances as well as something new to learn.
Why did you choose to work at Truepill?
I chose to work at Truepill for an opportunity to utilize my legal experience to assist a fast-growing company with vast potential. Although I worked remotely during COVID-19 at my previous position, the opportunity to work 100% remotely at Truepill was a dream come true.
What makes working at Truepill unique?
Working at Truepill is different because most employees are newly hired. This translates into specialists from varying backgrounds working together and creates enthusiasm, the desire to succeed, and the ability to relate to others’ learning curves.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by those with positive minds and adventurous souls. After spending much of my life thinking too seriously, I now understand the intense influence our thoughts have on the direction of life. My motto is, “Believe!”
What most surprised you when you started working in healthcare?
When I first started working in the healthcare industry, I was amazed by the number of laws, rules, and regulations dictating the industry as well as the speed at which they change. I find it motivating to constantly increase knowledge — there’s no room for boredom.
What do you think the future of healthcare holds?
Healthcare in America is transforming daily to meet the needs of patients and professionals in an era filled with new standards of living in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is exciting to work at Truepill because the company has a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for accelerated growth using non-traditional ideas to deliver unique solutions in healthcare.
