Tell us a little bit about yourself

I grew up in Phoenix, AZ and moved to Southern California 8 years ago. I live in Temecula, CA with my fiancé, stepson, and two Jack Russell Terriers. I love cooking; I have been super into making pizza from scratch these past couple of years. I finally got a legit pizza oven in December of 2020 and my pizza obsession continues to dough… I mean grow!

What do you do at Truepill?

I am a Contact Center Operations Manager at Truepill and I joined in December of 2020. I previously worked at OptumRx for 7 years. At Truepill, I currently manage an Rx Capture program. We plan to use this model for more clients, including Optum Virtual Pharmacy. I have also had the opportunity to build and facilitate training modules that can be used company-wide. Since December, I have learned a ton and I’m excited to grow with this amazing company!

What is it like to work in your field?

It’s amazing! Never a dull moment in customer service. We are always looking for ways to improve the patient and client experience. The healthcare system is always changing. At Truepill we are always on our toes, ready to adapt and innovate!

Why did you choose to work at Truepill?

When I applied and started researching Truepill, I was really impressed with the opportunities to innovate. We are lucky to have the freedom to work creatively and find solutions to make life easier for our patients!

What makes working at Truepill unique?

The sky’s the limit! The teamwork here is unmatched. There is a real sense of collaboration. All ideas are valued! We also move extremely fast compared to other organizations. I love how quickly and efficiently we can complete projects.

What inspires you?

My grandma was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when she was 30 and lived her life in a wheelchair after that. She was always so positive, however, I look back and wish we had some of these modern healthcare solutions to help her out. Whatever we can do to make positive changes in this world — I’m here for it!

What most surprised you when you started working in healthcare?

Almost a decade ago when I first started working in healthcare, I was surprised about how little I knew about managing my own healthcare. I have learned so much and have been able to share this knowledge with my loved ones to help them navigate the healthcare system.

What do you think the future of healthcare holds?

I see more and more emphasis being placed on healthcare, which is great. Telehealth is becoming increasingly popular and efficient. With Truepill working in so many aspects of healthcare, I am excited to watch us grow and continue to create exciting solutions!
