10 Weird Things People Would Rather Do Over Other Weird Things
Every day as soon as you open your eyes, you are faced with choices. They can include what to wear today, where to go in the evening, whom to meet, and a lot of other things.
And sometimes, you think about weird stuff too such as whether you would prefer breaking your leg or your dominant hand or whether you would rather be invisible or be able to read minds.
So, we have decided to dive deep into the fun and weird stuff and see how people voted on specific questions. You can find these questions under the “Would you rather” space on TruePublic. It’s going to be fun. And before you check out the space, make sure to read the stats below:
N1: No internet vs. no showers for a year
77% of the respondents said they would rather be with no internet than no showers for a year.
Note that over 11K people answered this question, and while both men and women would mostly opt for not having internet for a year than not having showers, still 30% of men voted for “No showers for a year” as opposed to 19% of women. Does this mean that men have greater internet dependency or they just don’t like to shower so much?
Weird? Wait, this is just the beginning yet!
N2: No internet vs. no music
Still, interestingly enough, most respondents (55%) said they would rather go without internet than without music.
Interestingly, unlike other age groups, most Baby Boomers (55%) said they would rather go without music than the internet for a year.
N3: Always say ‘Yes’ vs. ‘No’
Most people (57%) would rather always say ‘Yes’ than ‘No’. Interestingly enough, most black people voted for always saying ‘No’ (62%).
N4: Breaking your leg vs. your dominant hand
People would say ‘yes’ to breaking their leg than their dominant hand though.
64% of the respondents said they would rather break their leg and 36% their dominant hand.
N5: A pill to look younger vs. a pill for more energy
Most of the respondents (82%) would rather take a pill for more energy and only 18% to look younger.
N6: Horrible speech vs. pooping in your pants
71% of the respondents said they would rather give a horrible speech to a large audience, while 29% said they would rather poop their pants at a party.
N7: Be struck by lightning vs. be attacked by a shark
Most people (78%) would rather be struck by lightning than be attacked by a shark.
N8: Rich with no love vs. homeless with a lover
Half of the respondents would like to be rich with no love, while the other half would prefer being homeless with a lover.
There are some slight differences between how the females and the males responded.
49% of the females voted for “rich with no love,” while more male respondents voted for this option.
N9: Never talk again vs. say everything out loud
Half of the respondents voted for “Never talk again” and half voted for “Say everything out loud.”
Among all the age groups, only Baby Boomers said they would love to say everything out loud (61%). And interestingly, unlike Democrats and Independents, most of the Republicans would prefer saying everything out loud too.
N10: Being invisible vs. able to read minds
Most of the respondents would love to read minds (62%) than be invisible.
Among all the age groups, only most Baby Boomers (61%) would love to be invisible. Most of the other age groups would prefer reading minds.
