The Tradition for Mississippi State always begins with the NCAA Tournament, and the Bulldogs will be selected to participate in their 37th NCAA Tournament today, which leads Ole Miss by 15 appearances and Southern Miss by 22. The Bulldogs are making there 3rd straight trip to the NCAA Tournament, and have made it 7 out of the last 8 seasons.

Mississippi State has also been more dominant when it comes to making it to Omaha, Nebraska. Mississippi State leads the state in CWS appearances by 3 over the two other Magnolia State programs combined (Ole Miss 5) (Southern Miss 1). Also to add the Bulldogs have made it to the CWS Final something neither of the other instate programs have done.

Mississippi State has also won the SEC Championship 11 times over the Rebel’s seven, with the last coming in 2016 for Mississippi State and 2009 for Ole Miss, and Southern Miss has won the CUSA Championship only five times in there history.

The Bulldogs have also won more conference tournament championships than the Rebels and Golden Eagles. Mississippi State has won seven to Ole Miss’s three (including this season) and Southern Miss’s four (including this season).

The Bulldogs will now open there Road to Omaha for the 2018 seasons, and it appears they will be going to the East Coast as a high 2 seed or at worst low 3 seed.
