Mississippi State was selected to participate in their 37th NCAA Tournament today, and they will take on the 3 seed Oklahoma on Friday at 11:00 a.m. on ESPNU.

The hosts will take on Samford, who went 36–24, and won the SOCON, this season, which will be a tough, but manageable matchup for the Seminoles.

The Diamond Dawgs’s game one opponent Oklahoma, finished the season 36–23 (14–10). The Sooners will likely start their Friday Night starter Devon Perez (5–5) 4.76 ERA, which would be a very good matchup for Mississippi State. The Bulldogs will pitch either Konnor Pilkington (2–6) 4.28 ERA or Ethan Small (5–3) 2.94 ERA.

The rest of our Tallahassee Regional Preview will be available later this week, featuring the potential opponents for Mississippi State in the regional, as the schedule for preview releases will be posted below so stay tuned!
