“Today’s win is what you guys are about. Fight, fight, fight and never give in. That is OUR recipe for winning.”

— @CoachCannizaro 💪

That what was Coach Cannizzaro said after the series clinching win and he couldn’t be more correct. The Bulldogs(32–17, 16–8 SEC) rallied yet again to defeat the Aggies(34–15, 14–10 SEC). The Bulldogs were down early 2–0 before a single by Lovelady followed by a double from Poole that scored a run.

Entering the 7th, down 3–1, Lovelady and Poole yet again had back to back run producing hits with a wild pitch scoring the eventual winning run.

Jacob Billingsley got the start and pitched the first 4 innings followed by Trey Jolly and Trysten Barlow. Riley Self then came and continued his pitching dominance, throwing the last 3.1 innings and earning the win to give him a 5–0 record on the year. Mitchel Kilkenny(3–2) took the loss for the Aggies.

State has now won 7 of the last 8 SEC series and continues its road trip in Georgia next weekend.
