Day 13: Making Enemies

Since last Saturday, President Trump has shaken up relationships America has with foreign countries. After a heated phone call with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull was cut short, the President took to Twitter to complain of the conversation regarding a transfer of refugees from an Australian detention center to the U.S.

The Commander in Chief said, “Do you believe it? The Obama Administration agreed to take thousands of illegal immigrants from Australia. Why? I will study this dumb deal!”

Yesterday, Michael T. Flynn, America’s National Security Advisor, stated he will be putting Iran “on notice” after a recent ballistic missile test. It was unclear what action would be taken by the U.S., if any, but this morning, a top advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, dismissed Flynn and Trump’s threats, regarding them as “inexperienced.” Trump backed his security advisors statement with a tweet,
“Iran has officially been formally PUT ON NOTICE for firing a ballistic missile. Should have been thankful for the terrible deal the U.S. made with them!”
There has not been an official response to the Iranian advisors comments by President Trump.
