New Beta Program for Web-Based TruSTAR Agent Announced

TruSTAR has come a long way since our launch just a few months ago and I wanted to share some of the recent updates our engineering team has made to the TruSTAR product. Taken together, these updates are making it easier for our users to work with the incident reports shared by their fellow members and coordinate response with one another around significant incidents.

— Direct link to incident reports (IR) in email notification

— Station single sign on for Pulsar collaboration forum

— Greatly improved associated incident report (correlation) display

— Updated Orion (open source) feed integrations

— Display number of correlated incident reports and Orion documents in Station Inbox list

We are also pleased to announce a beta of our completely re-architected TruSTAR incident report submission client (“Agent”), featuring:

— Completely web-based architecture

— Ability to edit, collaborate and submit reports entirely from a conventional web browser

— Greatly enhanced redaction template creation workflow (including full wildcard support)

— Ability to stage multiple reports locally before submitting anonymously to TruSTAR servers

— Multi-user access (administrator can create unlimited local Agent accounts for team members)

— Report creation and submission delegation (e.g., allow certain users to create reports, and others to submit)

— Many UI and workflow improvements

Current Members interested in participating in the beta program of the new TruSTAR agent can contact us at trustar@trustar.co. We are also offering a 30-day free trial for those considering TruSTAR and will be happy to discuss beta program participation as part of that trial.

If you will be attending Black Hat this year, consider stopping by the ISE® Lion’s Den & Jungle Lounge, which will be held from 3–6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, at the Vdara Hotel & Spa at Aria in Las Vegas. The event is complimentary and we’ll be there presenting on our product and company vision and you can see a demo of the product with these new features in action.

The last couple months of user testing has reaffirmed our belief that the combination of verifiable anonymity and powerful correlation empowers companies to share quickly and leverage the capabilities and lessons from other vetted enterprises. The engineering team is committed to continued advancement of the product in support of these important goals and I look forward to keeping you updated as we move forward.
