FOAM is the newest member of the Trusted IOT Alliance. With this we are joining a Open Source Consortium of Blockchain Technology Companies and IOT industry leaders to support the creation of a secure, scalable, interoperable, and trusted IoT ecosystem. The initiative launched in September, 2017, with the mission to ‘enable trust in the data produced by IoT systems in a distributed ledger/blockchain agnostic fashion’ and create a standard smart contract interface between IoT devices. We are looking forward to working with the other members of the Consortium across a vast number of verticals.

And we are in good company. The other Blockchain companies in the Consortium are: ConsenSys, Bitse, Chronicled, Q-tum, Ledger, Slock.it, Skuchain, BigchainDB, Oaken Innovations, Streamr, Iota, Riddle&Code, Clause & Aero Token.

We are joined by Industry leaders such as: BNY Mellon, Honhai Capital Management, Bosch, Cisco, US Bank, Gemalto, Telekom Innovation Laboratories & UBS.

And IOT technology members: Paradox Engineering & Homeboy.

We are especially excited as we see partnerships with other Blockchain Companies and IOT Industry leaders as critical to our goal to establish FOAM as the open standard for location on the Ethereum Blockchain.

We will be releasing more information soon, including our roadmap, timeline and some exciting partnerships. For now, check out our website and join our Slack. Updates will be posted on reddit, Twitter and Telegram. Leading up to the release of our white paper, we will be sharing posts going into more detail on the FOAM protocol, crypto-spatial coordinates, use cases for different verticals and the Spatial Index.

We welcome feedback from the community and are open to collaborations, so feel free to reach out!
