It (CryptoKitties) looks like a silly experiment, but for the keen observer, it is no small feat for a company to achieve instant profitability and millions in revenue in a matter of days, especially without ICO.

What is your role in the Blockchain universe, where is your expertise?

I’m the co-founder and CEO of Stacktical Team, a french B2B company specialized in predictive scalability testing and Blockchain-based SLA management.

We’re building a comprehensive service level management platform that helps service providers compensate their customers for performance failures while rewarding their employees for operational excellence.

I lead the software design efforts of the Stacktical platform and DSLA, our downtime compensation token.

What is the biggest misconception about Blockchain?

That platforms are inherently more valuable than decentralized applications. If anything, DApps are just solving different problems for different stakeholders.

I believe we can generally expect the revenue of SaaS, decentralized applications to be higher than the revenue of ledger products at the IaaS stage.

We are not yet considering obtainable market size and the scalability of business models when we’re assessing opportunities because cryptocurrency valuation isn’t revenue-driven yet.

But it might be the case soon…

What 3 Dapps do you know which are already usable? Do you have any favorite ones?

CryptoKitties, Quantstamp and IDEX.

Since i’m fascinated by ERC-721 tokens and the future of collectibles, my favorite DApp would be CryptoKitties… It’s been an eye-opener on both business and technical levels.

It looks like a silly experiment, but for the keen observer, it is no small feat for a company to achieve instant profitability and millions in revenue in a matter of days, especially without ICO.

Are there any existing Dapps you are currently using? If so, why and what is the value for you?

Quantstamp, for auditing the security of smart contracts. A good example of a useful Business to Developer (B2D) Dapp and a tangible (albeit limited) utility for their QSP token.

Binance has allegedly used Quantstamp’s technology to make sure its listed ERC-20 tokens were not affected by the recently discovered batchOverflow and proxyOverflow 0-day vulnerabilities.

Interesting synergies.

Which 3 Blockchains are most likely to solve the puzzle of being decentralized, secure and scalable first?

Ethereum. Ethereum. Ethereum.

There are contenders but Ethereum has a significant head start in terms of developers adoption, a decisive KPI in my experience.

Most people underestimate the fact that it takes years of synchronised efforts to solve the scalability trilemma of Blockchain platforms. To my knowledge only Ethereum has a track record of actually putting in those efforts.

What was the biggest learning you made during the last year?

That a decentralized mistake is still a mistake.

What’s the best advice you’ve recently received?

You should sleep :)

Which industries will be disrupted by Blockchain in the next 5 years?

There are a lot of interesting Blockchain experiments in a wide variety of industries at the moment, but I personally believe that ITSM is the first bounty on the list, and most likely the stepping stone to disrupt them all.

It’s also one of the few industries that have the tech-savviness and maturity to reasonably change within 5 years.

Who is your favorite super or real-life hero?

Miles Davis.
