End Of Summer (poem)

been on a poetic kick lately. it’s probably the rain. i’ll resume my long from inspirations soon enough.

enjoy.

end of summer

sunlight bursts through the gaps in the tree leafs

warm rays revealing the specks of dust floating in the air

lying on your back

giving life to the shapes in the clouds

moments come

moments go

i remember when i used to do this alone

taking naps all day

in a field of dreams

til the moon casts its shadow

how will they ever bring me to life?

a chill down my spine

the only thrill of night

if i don’t wake up i’ll never feel sorrow
