evening sky

i’ve seen a lot of mornings
i’ve stayed awake many nights
the world sleeps in darkness
i wait in silence

all fear in sight
longing to deeply breathe
the air is thinner up here

stuck in frustration
sitting on the corners of desperation
and lack of motivation

why is that always the default

too much to do
so we feel like doing nothing
nothing at all

netflix and chill

what’s the world coming to
when all you want is to find your purpose
but chase after things that have none

until purpose finds you

deep in the night
when you least expect it
when you cry out in your darkest hour
you rise into the morning

in all your pain
your wound becomes an ally
pointing to your very destiny

how can this be

the evening sky is a war between light and dark
color and contrast
as the light fades, the dark seems to have the upper hand

until the morning comes
