Dear supporters,

We believes in the power of collective intelligence, that when more people are working for a same goal, it can generate a bigger and better impact for the world. TTC Protocol has been thinking of how to boost up the development process by engaging communities since its formation. Ethereum Bounty Program provides the rewards to developers and bug hunters, based on their contributions. And many of other blockchain projects also open-sourced their code and are fueled by the community and their active participations.

GitHub is a social network for developers and one of the largest library of Open Source projects. While GitHub offers a space and features for developers to work together efficiently, it lacks the system for fair recognition of the contribution. We are building the TTC Protocol, a token-incentivized protocol for social networks and communities, and we realized that by implementing the TTC Protocol to a service like GitHub would generate a token-incentivized collaborative community for developers. This is the idea behind git.eco project.

What is git.eco?

git.eco is an Open Source project, where the reward for contribution is distributed with transparency and logic. At git.eco, a project owner can register the reward rule for the token distribution (ETH or token from the project) on the smart contract. Contributors can participate in the project by creating issues, committing code, merging branches, forking repositories, reviewing code and making an comment and/or voting. Such contributions are measured and recorded by the blockchain-based Reward Engine, and the rewards will be distributed based on their contribution level to the project.

We hope that git.eco can contribute to the better future of various open and private projects. With a fair distribution of the rewards, more developers would participate in more projects and the world can enjoy better service and product as a result. Moreover, we believe that the system where the members receive the fair reward based on the actual value of their contribution could disrupt how people are compensated at workplace and organizations.

TTC Protocol will provide the initial kickoff funding and tech support for the blockchain technology and the Reward Engine. However, we do not claim the ownership of this project. We want more developers and projects to join this movement and improve this rebellious idea together.
