The prelim election to elect TTC Representatives begins on April 11th at 12:00 (UTC+8).

TTC main network adopted the Multi-tier BFT-DPoS as its consensus algorithm. According to this consensus, TTC holders must elect Representatives — also known as ‘Block Producers (BP)’ — who perform two major roles for the entire network:

(1) record and sync information into the TTC blockchain, and
(2) improve the consensus through proposals and public votes.

The Representatives will have significant control and influence on how the network runs, hence, it is important to elect the right Representatives who will work for the benefit of the entire ecosystem.

Meet the candidates

On February, the application for the TTC Representative was released publicly. After a basic screening, we hereby announce 41 candidates, including:

  • Long-term investors since ICO (Hashed, Block Crafters)
  • organic crypto communities (Plutus, 0xttx0)
  • Mining pools (Siam Miners, AFG Pool)
  • DAPP developers (Hands Up)

Geographically, we had candidates from 28 cities and 20 countries, from Bangkok, Moscow to Beijing. (listed below in alphabetical order)

  • North America: Canada, Mexico, USA
  • South America: Argentina, Brazil, British Virgin Island
  • Asia: Australia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam

Beside the candidates, TTC Foundation will be operating 20 Guardian Nodes located at different locations around globe, to ensure the stable operation of the TTC network during the transition period.

As the candidates are now announced, the ball is in the holders’ court. Any holders with 100 or more TTC can vote to any Representatives with couple clicks on TTC Connect. (iOS|Android; Make sure you download the latest version)

The prelim election will end on April 17th 12:00 (UTC+8) or when the vote turnout reaches 30%, whichever occurs earlier. (The prelim election period has been extended as many holder’s TTC assets are locked up in the exchange wallets due to development delay. TTC Foundation provided all the necessary information to partners and continues to support any tech issues whenever necessary.) The top 50 candidates at the end of prelim election period will be elected as “Representatives”, starting producing blocks for the network instantly.
