TTC Protocol will lead the mass user adoption movement.”

Why Korea?

We believe that this partnership in Korea is a perfect real-life sandbox environment for us to launch our first local ecosystem for following 3 reasons:

  1. Quick Tech Adoption: More than half of the entire population of Korea reside within a 100 km radius around Seoul, its capital. Everyone is highly educated (>~70% attend university). It is one of the most-wired countries in the world, with some of the fastest internet connections. Korea has a unique setting where information and trends can spread quicker in comparison to other countries in the world.
  2. Wide User Coverage: 7.5m users is a significant size by itself, yet it is a lot more impressive, next to the fact that there are only 15m millennials (aged 14–36) in Korea. With this partnership, TTC Protocol will be quickly penetrating into majority of millennials’ lives in Korea, creating an impactful network effect.
  3. Digital Currency Friendly: It is one of the first countries who began purchasing digital assets with real fiat currency. (A user paid over 25k USD for a digital sword in a very popular MMORPG in early 2000) This trend continued to today: at one point, 40% of white-collar workers owned one or more cryptocurrencies.

By as early as Q1 2019, A significant portion of young Koreans will receive TTC for their contributions on social services, will witness a rapid growth driven by the blockchain token-economy, and will purchase services and goods in their daily lives.

What’s Next?

TTC Protocol recently launched its Testnet “Merapi”, which is going through penetration testing and security testing. In the following months, these four new dAPP partners will be integrated via the TTC SDK to simulate and test the TTC Reward Engine (TReE), before going live to the public on Q1 2019.

TTC Protocol plans to expand its partnership to other regions such as Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.
