New Free Movies and Shows on Tubi TV: May 14–20

Each week we add a ton of new titles to keep you entertained on Tubi, from modern classics to reality show favorites. For May 14–20, we’ve added new free movies and shows on Tubi TV that we know you’ll love. Check out our New Arrivals section for more fresh, free movies.

Overboard (1987)

Why you should watch: This screwball comedy is the perfect vehicle for the talents of stars Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. Hawn stars as a spoiled heiress who is (hilariously) cruel to her hired carpenter (Russell), but when she gets amnesia (oh, ’80s comedies), he makes her believe that she is his wife and the mother of his four kids. Hawn recently starred with Amy Schumer in Snatched, but we find it hard to believe it can be better than this modern classic.

Fear Factor (2001–2005)

Why you should watch: The reality show, which originally aired on NBC, is returning to screens May 30, but this time, it’s on MTV and hosted by Ludacris. If you crave the classic with Joe Rogan, stream five seasons of bugs, heights, bull testicles, and more terrors free on Tubi. We still squirm just thinking about the series that made brave contestants to suffer through their worst fears–and ours–for the chance at money.

Italian for Beginners (2000)

Why you should watch: This film from Lone Scherfig hits the sweet spot, merging the ultra-realistic and often dour Dogme 95 movement with the unrealistic, cuddly romantic comedy genre. This Danish movie features a believable, likable cast of characters with profound insight into relationships. Director Scherfig went on to make Oscar nominee An Education and this year’s hidden gem Their Finest.

Cowboy Bebop 1998–2003

Why you should watch: Even if you aren’t a fan of anime, this show that melds music, sci-fi, Western, action, and comedy is likely to convert you. Cowboy Bebop is stylish and fun, but there are real emotions in the story of bounty hunters on the final frontier. From its killer opening song “Tank” by Seatbelts to the final credits “The Real Folk Blues,” you’ll want to hang out with Spike, Jet, Faye, Ed, and Ein.

Rock of Love (2007–2009)

Why you should watch: This VH1 show is one of the essential celebrity dating series. Poison frontman Bret Michaels gets the opportunity to choose among women who can’t wait to be the “Rock Star Girlfriend.”
