July 4th Edition

Between the fireworks, picnics, and parades for July 4th, you can enjoy some time on your couch in the AC. Feel free to take a break from the sunshine and heat by watching episode after episode of a show you’re hooked on. There’s something for everyone in these recommendations of TV shows to binge for the long weekend, whether you like witty comedy, entertaining history, or reality drama. All are streaming free on Tubi TV.

Storage Wars: Texas

This Lone Star State edition of the A&E hit is way more fun than cleaning out your own garage. Everything’s bigger in Texas, and the surprises in store for the real-life characters here are no exception.

America: The Story of Us

This HISTORY giant captivated the nation when it aired. See famous faces share their insight into America’s past, including Tom Brokaw, Michael Strahan, Buzz Aldrin, and Meryl Streep.

Spaced

We like the idea of watching this essential Britcom on the weekend we celebrate our independence from England. Created by stars Simon Pegg and Jessica Hynes, Spaced was directed by Edgar Wright, whose Baby Driver speeds into theaters this week.

How the States Got Their Shapes

Another HISTORY favorite, this series is a crowd-pleasing binge that is far more fun than your geography class. How the States Got Their Shapes is fun and illuminating, thanks to host Brian Unger.

Paranormal State

The ghost hunters on this A&E series travel across America investigating reports of weird phenomena. We won’t judge you if you feel a chill during the hot holiday weekend.

America Unearthed

Fans of Indiana Jones will love this H2 show that digs into the archaeological history of the nation. America Unearthed uncovers the country’s hidden past, including ancient Mayans and our own version of Stonehenge.

My Crazy Ex

This LMN show explores love’s uglier side as it tells true stories of the world’s worst exes. It’s best watched with a glass of wine, but watch out for spontaneously dropped jaws from all the bonkers behavior on screen.

What will you be bingeing this weekend?
