Synopsis

BSF troops in Tripura apprehended 23 Bangladeshi smugglers involved in trans-border smuggling of sugar. The troops laid ambush and seized 125 bags of sugar weighing 6250 Kg from the smugglers. They also confiscated 17 mobile phones. Out of the 23 smugglers, 22 are from the Feni district and one is from the Chattogram district. The Border Guarding Force of Bangladesh was contacted for a flag meeting.

Border Security Force (BSF) troops in Tripura apprehended 23 Bangladeshi smugglers.

BSF stated, “Acting on specific information regarding trans-border smuggling of sugar, vigilant troops of BSF laid an ambush in the area of Border out Post Samarganj under South Tripura District and apprehended 23 Bangladeshi smugglers while 25–30 Bangladeshi smugglers divided in small groups crossed International Boundary to receive a consignment of sugar from their counterpart in Indian
