We’re in the process or redesigning the Tukios video builder page by page. This last week we released an update to the photo editing dialog. As you will notice as the app keeps transforming, the menus look much more similar to Google or Facebook designs. This is intentional since most of us are very familiar with those interface.

What’s New With the New Design?

The image takes up almost the entirety of the screen. The editing options are all along the right side of the screen. You have many of the same options that already existed like cropping and rotating, it just looks much cleaner.

  • We’ve added an “Enhance” option so you can quickly make a photo look a little bit better by flipping a switch. As you can see below, in many cases the change isn’t drastic, it just makes things a little more crisp and the colors are a slightly more vibrant.
  • We updated the custom zoom by making it a little more prominent so users can set a specific zoom behavior on a photo a little bit faster.
  • We reworked the crop tool to make it a little easier to use and we added a “next photo” option to speed things up when you’re cropping a bunch of photos in a row.

Over the next few months you will see more and more of the software moving toward this new “google-ish” looking design. Let us know what you think and please ask any questions you may have.
