July Meetup Recap: Tulsa UX’s One Year Anniversary
This past Tuesday, Tulsa UX had the First Year Anniversary celebration and a User Open Forum!
Before we begin diving into this recap, we wanted to invite you to celebrate with us the success of the first year.
To do that here’s the year in numbers:
- We had 11 monthly meetings.
- 250+ attendees
- 24 person Average attendee per event
During the first 12 months, we have a measurable impact on the Tulsa community on a significant level! We are humbled to know where we started with just a few members and attendees, and have reached such a broad audience.
User Open Forum
This week we also held our first User Open Forum, something we haven’t done before. The idea behind an open forum is to get feedback, learn from mistakes and get suggestions as to where to go forward.
If we could sum up all the suggestions and come up with one biggest desire for the entire group, we would have something like this: We want to learn more!
If you missed the meeting, we still want to hear from you. Please fill out our annual member survey here: https://goo.gl/forms/BBQvTxGFVtNZxiE02
And that’s what we will be looking more into the next year: learning UX tools and best practices, inviting new speakers and inviting new speakers — including remote speakers via Skype!
Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, August 14th. You can RSVP for the meeting here.
