Vote roundup

Shareholders are being asked to vote on…

Should Amazon report on how it plans to reduce its plastic use? 🥤

Some shareholders want Amazon, which currently doesn’t disclose how much plastic packaging it uses, to explore how it can reduce its plastic pollution. But the tech behemoth says it already has effective plans in place to address the plastic problem.

Should Exxon report on its climate-related financial estimates? 📈

ExxonMobil, one of the world’s largest oil companies, is being asked to report on its financial projections when compared to net-zero by 2050 targets. However, Exxon says that it has already produced such a report.

Do you approve of Barclays’ Climate Plan? 🌍️

Barclays is asking shareholders to approve its strategy towards becoming net zero by 2050. The strategy focuses on emissions from three areas: i) Barclays’ supply chain; ii) the projects it finances; iii) its clients and customers.

Should Standard Chartered set and report on a net-zero by 2050 plan? 🏦

Some shareholders are asking Standard Chartered to set and execute a plan to manage fossil fuel-related risks. They say it must be in line with a net zero by 2050 aim. However, the British bank believes a more gradual approach is better.
