Lion March: A 100 km walk in Bavaria
This weekend, join Tunapanda Institute’s co-founder, Jay Larson, and our other four supporters as they attempt to walk 100 km within 24 hours in Bavaria to raise funds to help us train more people in digital skills. Lion March, a yearly event organized by Löwenmarsch eV (a non-profit association) to raise funds to support Learning Lions to support more “lions” — learners — from the extremely remote regions of Kenya — Turkana, Loropio.
This year, Learning Lions has graciously agreed that 100% of the money raised via the Tunapanda Institute’s Löwenmarsch team page or via Tunapanda’s website will go directly to young Africans to teach each other modern tech, storytelling, and professionalism skills.
Below are words from Jay Larson on the walk:
Hey friends, please support my team as we take on a physical challenge to hike 100 km in 24 hours this coming weekend. Funds raised support the non-profit work of Tunapanda Institute (USA) and Learning Lions (Germany). The organizations have collaborated for more than 6 years to spread technology skills and dignified employment in East Africa. Thanks for your generous support!
