My names are Shem Opiyo Odhiambo. I was born on the 9th of February in the year 1995 in Nairobi, Kenya. I being the first born and the only male child out of 5 kids. I grew up in a slum called Kibera.

I started my primary level education in Kibera Primary School which is a government school that is situated around Kibera. This is where I did my K.C.P.E back in the year 2011.

I later joined Raila Educational Centre in the year 2012 and this is where I did my National Examination for secondary level in the year 2015 despite facing a lot of challenges one being lack of school fees every now and then. So most of the times i was sent home. But I thank God because I was able to complete the education unlike some of my friends who dropped out on the way.
I stayed at home for 3 years due to lack of enough funds to take me to the college. My father was unable to take me to the college at the moment. I later joined an institute called Tunapanda Institute which is located around Kibera. The institute offers a free three-month intensive training to practical tech, business, and design in general.

I lost my dad before I graduated as a trainee in Tunapanda but this incidence did not stop me from achieving my dreams which were to have the skills and basic knowledge in the three areas.

I later applied as an apprentice in Tunapanda Institute where I learned new things and improved on areas where I was not good at. Not only improving on the skills I had previously but also taught the trainees who joined Tunapanda after me. And at the same time, I made money from doing clientele work such as developing a website and others.
In the future, I would like to be a web developer and a graphic designer too.
