“When I think of all the books still left for me to read, I am certain of further happiness.” — Jules Renard

I began 2023 with a goal to read as many phenomenal books as possible. And since there are only a few more weeks left in the year, I want to share some of the books that I plan to read before the year is over.

Here are 5 books I want to read before the end of the year:

The Bodyguard by Katherine Center

Famous Hollywood actor, Jack Stapleton, is visiting his mother’s Texas ranch. Worried about his mother’s sick condition, Jack doesn’t want to make her upset with a dangerous secret — a stalker has been chasing him. But, with a bodyguard following Jack around, he knows that his mother will get suspicious. So, he asks his bodyguard to pretend to be his date as a cover.

I’ve read a lot of books with the fake-dating trope, but the plot of The Bodyguard sounds intriguing. Katherine Center is a popular romance author, and somehow I haven’t read any books she has written. Hopefully, this book will serve as a good introduction to her work!
