Are you in the mood to read strange, quirky, or downright bizarre fiction books? I’ve got you covered.

Here are six books that are extremely weird (in the best way possible). All of them made me laugh or think about the world differently.

Enjoy!

City of Thieves by David Benioff

City of Thieves is about two prisoners who embark on a mission to find a dozen eggs for a Soviet colonel’s daughter’s wedding cake. If they complete the task, it could equal their chance of freedom. But, it’s not that simple. The year is 1942 and the Nazi’s siege of Leningrad has left the city vulnerable and cut off from supplies.

This book has the perfect balance of emotional scenes and light-hearted banter. While it demonstrates the brutality and hardships of war, it also shows the resilience of people coming together. I loved the characters in this book and the bond they form over the course of the story.

If you’re looking for a novel that will make you laugh and think about history in a new way, you need to read City of Thieves!
