The past few days have been pretty great — with all three of my kids returning home for a visit. We celebrated my granddaughter’s second birthday, hosted a baby shower for my eldest daughter, and my son surprised me with a three-day Tesla experience!
As we headed out for lunch, I spotted a Tesla parked in the middle of Main Street — not something you see everyday in the suburbs of Cincinnati, Ohio. I pointed it out to my son — who suddenly handed me the keys! I couldn’t believe it!
For over a year now, I’ve been a strong admirer of Tesla’s philosophy. This was the perfect opportunity to fully explore all of the unique features, enjoy its amazing craftsmanship, and gain a sense of the owner experience. Even as a rental, the car felt uniquely mine.
Over those three days, we took the Tesla for a handful of joyrides — we cruised through downtown Cincinnati, rolled through the local back roads, and even took my grandkids out for ice cream.
Before returning the car, we charged up at the Supercharger Station. The full charge only took 40 minutes.
Just before returning the car, as we drove up I-75, we spotted an identical Tesla just behind us. Small world!
What a cool opportunity and an incredible surprise! Not only was it an amazing car, it was also a great introduction to the Turo concept. In fact, I enjoyed the experience so much that immediately after returning the Tesla, I even posted my own car up on Turo!
