Detective Alex Cross (Aldis Hodge) tracks a mysterious killer while trying to protect his family and grapple with a personal tragedy.

This show is absolutely thrilling! There are so many different characters and different potential threats to Alex that every episode has moments to keep you on the edge of your seat.

In this first season of Cross, Alex is pursuing a case that will test all of his skills as he races to discover who the murderer is and prevent another victim from being killed. This is one of those cases where the protagonist and antagonist are very evenly matched. Every time Alex thinks that he has the upper hand, something changes, causing him to have to regroup or find some new piece of evidence.

At the same time, his family is being threatened by someone else. Alex must dig into his past cases to see if he can determine who could be after him and for what. And it turns out that Alex has made some detrimental mistakes in the past.

Finally, Alex is still grieving the death of his wife, Maria (Chaunteé Schuler Irving), who was murdered. Though Alex is a psychologist, he is struggling to process this enormous grief. And all of the pressure from his work is only making things worse. As things escalate, Alex becomes more and more erratic, adding more…
