I Don’t Have a TikTok and Just Binge-Watched The D’Amelio Show

Why you should never compare it to Keeping up with the Kardashians.

As the content war continues Hulu has gained another hero in The D’Amelio show. The show follows Charli D’Amelio (the most followed TikToker), her sister Dixie D’Amelio (A TikToker and up and coming musician), and their parents Heidi D’Amelio and Marc D’Amelio (their parents). The show is in a long line of reality tv shows out there in the world today but this one is a little different. For years now there has been two types of fame hungry people the reality stars and the internet stars and this show is one of the first to combine both. Now I know reality stars are on social media but they are mostly known for their said reality show not their YouTube or TikTok following. However, I wouldn’t put Charli D’Amelio in any of the categories above. For full clarity I am a 20 year without a TikTok account so I didn’t know much about Charli, Dixie, or the whole family. (No I am not a loner without social media, I have a Instagram, Twitter, and even a podcast.) I just never understood the TikTok hype, but back to what I was saying about Charli D’Amelio not fitting into any category. Charli D’Amelio is a different type of celebrity.
