Today we highlight Thomas Tallis, our very capable and experienced CEO. Below you can read his own words about his journey that brought him to founding TVVIN.
I’m Thomas Tallis, the Co-Founder & CEO of TVVIN. Overall, I’m in charge of bringing TVVIN to market. Specifically, I am working with jurisdictional and regulatory compliance as well as the Investor Relations.
Before TVVIN, I was an Advisor to several Crypto and Blockchain companies as well co-founding and holding the CCO position of a DeFi lending & borrowing protocol. Going further back, I co-founded a project that looked into applying for a banking licence from the ECB (which gives TVVIN huge insight on how it can further develop in later phases of its operations), and another project that took the first Retail-based crypto platform proposal to the FCA in the UK back in 2016 (but Regulation was simply not mature enough to see it realise). Before coming into the Financial Sector, I built up and exited a large Nordic company within Experimental Marketing.
With my passion to travel and immerse myself in different cultures, I had imagined being a diplomat or a hotel manager for large hotels! I grew up in the UK, Jamaica, Miami and Dubai and throughout my childhood these experiences really opened up my eyes to the fact that there is so much that can be shared if the right mechanisms are applied and that we have a real need for creating fairer and more inclusive financial instruments that can improve lives for the many, not just the few. Looking back, I feel that TVVIN is the realisation and culmination of what has been deeply embedded in me from when I was young.
My hobbies outside of the sector are travelling and exploring, everything culinary, and in trying to understand the World’s Mysteries, such Pyramids and great shrines like Stone Henge and how Ancient Civilisations knew so much and built immense structures with what seems virtually impossible!
I believe in TVVIN as there is an enormous abundance of real-world assets in this world that hold significant tangible and stable value that have yet to be structured and realised in ways that can benefit the lives of so many people. This is the power of tokenisation and TVVIN is at the forefront of this amazing evolving space within Financial Services!
