Today, we released the first ever build of the next, major Tweeten release to our 20 pre-alpha users. Tweeten 2.0 includes lots of things. I’m not lying.
Here’s a list:
- Completely re-written from the groundup which means: it’s faster, lighter, more stable, more secure, and of course: prettier.
- A brand new welcome experience
- A completely revamped Settings experience
- You can now automatically pause GIFs in columns
- Seamless, one-click auto updates (not enabled on pre-alpha)
- We’ve implemented a new hot-fixing system that will allow us to remotely release quick CSS-related fixes for Tweeten (not enabled on pre-alpha)
- You can now get notifications for your notification columns when Tweeten is opened in the background
- Ability to mute certain words or phrases, and apps/services
- Custom CSS! (for developers)
- Ability to disable tweet stream and hide sensitive data on columns
- You can now show verified badges for users on columns
- Thinner scrollbars
- Blur details of message sender in DM column
- Hide conversation idicators
- Hide actual messages in the DM column
- Bitly link shortening built-in
- Ability to enable hardware accleration
- Loads of other minor improvements
We will try our best to get this out for everyone asap. So stay tuned for more.
