Arya
We are excited to announce our partnership with Arya, an AI-native, human capital management (HCM) solution for the healthcare industry.
We think the next generation of software is powerful for two reasons. First, agentic solutions that can reason and express judgment will introduce products that can surpass human-level productivity and empathy. Second, the deployment of generative AI will attack and expand labor markets that are orders of magnitude larger than existing software spend.
That’s why we are delighted to lead Arya’s $4M seed round. Led by Kunal and Arun (former Co-Founder and CTO of Blockdaemon), Arya has pioneered a new workforce management solution based on key skills in healthcare administration — scheduling, payroll management, employee onboarding and ongoing compliance. While traditionally these processes require humans at scale, Arya’s AI-native solution enables healthcare organizations to manage, retain and engage their staff while keeping costs in line. Thus far, they’ve had a huge impact on their customers — reducing time to fill shifts by more than 50% and fully automating the clinician scheduling and callout management process.
The U.S. healthcare administration market employs over 20M employees, accounting for over $1TN of spend per year. There has been a rapid increase in labor challenges, such as staff burnout, fewer graduates entering the field, and a retiring workforce. These factors have accelerated the need for modern solutions like Arya. We believe AI-native technologies will not only deliver better outcomes for providers, caregivers and patients, but will also have a deflationary effect by increasing the supply of care delivery at a time when healthcare costs are having a generational impact.
Arya has found immense customer pull from mid-market to enterprise healthcare organizations across the U.S., with ARR growing 6x year-over-year. Kunal and Arun possess a perfect blend of what we at Twelve Below lean out of our chairs for: a complementary combination of product and engineering talent, immigrant mentality as a competitive advantage, clarity of thought in their vision and humility in how to get there.
