Learn more about the Tweacher experience at Twenix!

Feedback is important in not only what we can improve but in what we are doing great as well. Twenix takes pride in its high standard of service and values top notch teachers. There is a tough recruitment process where our team is on the lookout for those special qualities that would make a great Tweacher. We don’t expect polished candidates ready to go straight away. We recognise that things take time and new teachers are provided with a plethora of resources to help them understand the Twenix Methodology, get to grips with the platform and some real-life examples of what a typical Twenix class can look like.

Even as new teachers fly the nest and go into the big new world of Twenix classes, we continue to nurture them and make sure they’re doing OK. We reach out to say a big well done and thank you to those who are soaring high and find out how they are getting on, what their experience has been like with Twenix so far and what we can improve for future candidates. We also extend a branch out to those who are adjusting to their new found wings. Sometimes it’s a case of expanding certain areas of their teaching so students can benefit more from their skills, other times it’s reshaping or readjusting certain elements so their path to Tweacher stardom goes more smoothly.

Common areas where teachers are struggling tend to be with how to approach the material and make it more like a conversation, when to correct students, how and when to use the chat feature and how to reinforce the key vocabulary throughout the lesson. During the 1-to-1s, we chat about how they’re approaching these points and why they find them difficult. It’s an opportunity to discuss alternative ideas and methods for them to try out. Sometimes all they need is a space to talk things over with someone who understands. These sessions aren’t a one-off. We encourage our Tweachers to get in touch with us if they need more help or want to go over some other doubts. We continue to keep an eye on all our new Tweachers to see how they’re progressing. In almost all cases, we quickly notice a difference in the performance of our newbies as they implement new practices and begin to grow in confidence and rise up through their ratings.

As a Tweacher of over two years, I also really value these sessions. It’s a chance to build community and create a sense of family between the teachers who are often in far flung locations. Tweachers appreciate the invitation to chat and meet someone from the company ‘face-to-face’ as this doesn’t happen with many other online platforms. They also value the opportunity and guidance, the feeling of support they get from these sessions and are very grateful for the chance to develop instead of being cast aside to make way for other keen candidates in the increasingly competitive skies of online teaching.
