This week in bitcoin, redditors shared their favourite Satoshi quotes and art:

My top three Satoshi quotes:

We can try to use words to help the situation until code gets there

I like to keep code compact so you can see more code on the screen at once

Just leave the old one alone! Older is better

This week in bitcoin a proposal to improve privacy went viral. BIP (Bitcoin Improvement Proposal) 151 author Jonas Schnelli claims, “it’s trivial for a network provider or any other men-in-the-middle to identify a Bitcoin user and its controlled addresses.” Schnelli describes a improvement that allows a peer to, “encrypt their communication between a selective subset of remote peers.” The BIP spawned an rampage of reposts on twitter and reddit, perhaps in acknowledgement of Pieter Wuille and Gregory Maxwell’s contributions to the BIP.

Looking past the fun, privacy is an aspect of bitcoin that is essential to its success and an objective improvement proposal is great news.

This week in bitcoin the price finally rebounded to a 21-month high:

The surge appeared to be driven by markets in China, where prices in RMB continue to be ~2% higher than USD markets, but as always, nobody really knows.

And this week in bitcoin I published an interview about bitcoin with my ex-girlfriend Phoebe Liu, which got a lot of attention on Facebook, and then … shared on the world’s best bitcoin podcast: Bitcoin Uncensored!
