We are pleased to announce our rebrand to “Twigg”, to better represent the next evolution of digital storytelling.

While the name “Kosmos” was hard to part with, it didn’t fully embody the versatility of the platform we envision. While a lot of our initial user base is in the fantasy, sci-fi, gaming, and Web3 niches, we want to be sure we have a brand that will scale long-term to all sorts of publishing needs, including everything from non-fiction books and newsletters to children’s stories and poetry. “Twigg” just felt more open, friendly, and versatile for all that, while still sounding techy enough to be cutting-edge.

Additionally, we wanted to move away from “Kosmos” due to potential brand confusion. There are many other “Kosmos”es and “Cosmos”es both in Web2 and Web3. “Twigg” is more unique and memorable, and hence more powerful.

There are also a few layers of symbolic meaning to the name. The most common meaning of “twig” conjures images of trees (which make paper and hence books) and growth (we want to help people grow their immersive, evolving story worlds).

A second definition of “twig” is “to notice” or “to become aware of.” Part of the goal of our product is to give creators a better solution to discoverability with an unbiased, transparent algorithm, as well as effortless incentivized story referrals. We want good stories to twig a lot more attention.

So “Twigg” it is.

Keep an eye out for us. Twigg will reimagine storytelling as you know it.
