Twin Cities Startup Week is pleased to announce four new tracks of content for our 2019 event. As part of a focused effort to make TCSW more accessible and walkable, each track will be held in one day and hosted in one location, presented by one of our four track sponsors. Each track will focus on a large sector of the Twin Cities startup ecosystem and provide programming, keynote speakers, and networking.

The TCSW 2019 tracks are:

“As the Retail Track presenting sponsor, Target will welcome all future shapers to join a day of unforgettable programming at Target Plaza Commons on Thursday, October 10, 2019,” says Shandra Tollefson, Target Communications. “Innovative entrepreneurs, dynamic business leaders, and game-changing experts will share insights on how the future of retail is being shaped.”

Programming will include presentations from Target leaders Minsok Pak and Todd Waterbury, panel discussions with notable startup founders, and a lunch & learn presented by Google Cloud for Startups. Boomchickapop founder Angie Bastian will also be the closing keynote speaker.

The Healthcare Track, presented by Allina Health, will take place October 14th at the Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest. Programming will cover topics ranging from the transformation of the dental patient experience to maternal and women’s care in Minnesota, exponential medicine, and bringing the world to Minnesota to advance global health and wellness.

“The healthcare track will be different this year due to the entire track being in one location. We are very excited about this because it enables attendees who are passionate about healthcare tech to maximize the day,” says Patrick Parker, the Healthcare Track lead.

There will be a variety of presentations, from panel style to workshops and demos, says Parker. Mark Ritchie will also give an update on the bid for Expo 2027.

“I’m also very excited by the diversity in our presenters and the healthcare topics we are covering during the healthcare track day,” says Parker. “Female founders, women of color and presenters of multiple culturally diverse backgrounds and experiences will offer a truly diverse overview of the healthcare industry.”

On October 15th, Microsoft for Startups will host the Tech Track at the Machine Shop. Programming topics include setting up a cloud environment, the growing world of digitally native brands, and more.

“There has never been a better time to be a startup in the Midwest and Twin Cities Startup Week provides an invaluable platform for founders to learn hard-won advice from proven entrepreneurs and technical leaders,” said Frank Denbow, Startup Advocate, Microsoft for Startups.

The AWS Edtech & Training Track will take place October 16th at the Glen Nelson Center in St. Paul. Programming will cover machine learning in schools, design for learning in the age of AI, how to sell edtech product to schools, and engaging games for behavior change.
