Nominations are open for this year’s Twin Cities Startup Week (TCSW) Awards. Proudly co-hosted by Ernst & Young and Tech.MN, the winners will be announced at the closing ceremony at the Science Museum of Minnesota on October 16, 2019.

With seven award categories to choose from, community members can submit their nominations here to honor a local startup who deserves some extra recognition by September 24th at midnight. The awards ceremony is a free, ticketed event — tickets will be released October 1, 2019.

“We’re really excited to announce a new partnership with Ernst & Young for this event” says Reed Robinson, Executive Director of BETA (the operators of TCSW). “Ernst & Young has an incredible reputation celebrating and supporting entrepreneurs already through its Entrepreneur of the Year program; this new partnership between us is an extension of that work.”

With a focus on walkability for this year’s TCSW events, the Startup Awards will round out a full day of activities in Downtown Saint Paul. This includes The Education Track, which is sponsored by Microsoft and taking place at the Glen Nelson Center in Osborn 371 building.

Under new ownership, Tech.MN is participating as a media sponsor for the TCSW Awards.

“The idea behind the awards themselves are to identify and recognize people who are doing a great job in the Minnesota startup ecosystem. Tech.MN is a great partner to help spread the word about the event; their platform provides added visibility for award nominees and winners, further magnifying the efforts of the incredible people behind each award,” says Robinson.

Awards include:

  • Emerging Startup Award: recognizing a new, hungry addition to the Minnesota startup ecosystem.
  • Voyageur Award: recognizing a successfully bootstrapped technology organization.
  • Redwood (Corporate Champion) Award: recognizing a corporate organization driving collaboration, innovation and support for the Minnesota startup ecosystem.
  • Impact Award: recognizing an organization, team or individual who is making Minnesota a better place to launch and grow startups.
  • 10K Lakes Award: recognizing a team, organization or individual fueling Minnesota’s startup ecosystem outside the greater MSP area.
  • Operational Excellence Award: recognizing an organization or team delivering exceptional organizational performance, employee engagement, and/or customer success.
  • Inclusive Evolution Award: recognizing an organization or team making systemic changes to organizational culture and practices to build a more inclusive, safe, thoughtful and engaging environment.

Take part in the celebration of our local entrepreneurs by recognizing the companies you think deserve an award. Make sure to join us at the free celebration at the Science Museum of Minnesota on October 16, 2019.
