TCSW 2019 Presents: BA Women x Creative’s Connector “Scaling Your Business”
Twin Cities Startup Week is thrilled to host the first annual B.A. Women x Creative’s Connector event! Join us on Tuesday, October 15 from 4:30–8:00pm to hear from powerhouse women in non-profit, startup, and corporate sectors and network with fellow Bad Ass Women. Keynote speakers and panelists will discuss how to raise funds, effectively utilize legal resources, take calculated risks, and elevate your business to the next level!
Back in 2017, Emma Sievers had a vision of bringing together ambitious women to empower and enable them to actualize their dreams. Now, BA Women creates a space for people to come together and vocalize their ideas in a forward-thinking, collaborative environment. BA Women encourages entrepreneurs to boldly express their ideas, to make meaningful connections with other passionate individuals, to verbalize their thoughts, and to take risks! Although attendance for BA Women events in the past has primarily been female, BA Women is more than happy to welcome badass men to their events as well!
When Emma attended her first TCSW events last year, she was enthralled with the speakers and the vibrancy of our local startup community. What really attracted Emma to hosting her own event was TCSW’s drive to inspire entrepreneurs on all levels to take risks. Of those currently involved in BA Women, over 66% with corporate or full-time jobs are also pursuing an independent project or money-making venture on the side. BA Women aims to empower entrepreneurs so they can confidently make the leap to operate their venture full time. BA Women provides entrepreneurs with the resources and network needed to scale up their side hustle — from keynote speakers to avid networking to receiving personalized advice from an expert, BA Women empowers entrepreneurs to fearlessly pursue their calling.
For the upcoming TCSW (October 9–16), BA Women has partnered with Creative’s Connector, a Minnesota-based legal counsel that focuses on assisting creatives and entrepreneurs in navigating the complex legal landscape. In a world full of networking, connections briefly made often get lost. The Creative’s Connector is a platform for providing intentional, thoughtful, strategic connection, to those who may mutually benefit from one another, whether it be professionally or personally. Its founder, Wynne Reece, is known for facilitating friendships, partnerships, client relationships and business buyouts; she does not make a connection that she doesn’t truly believe has some potential to it. Wanting to meet someone… to learn or be challenged by someone who inspires you… to dream with a fellow entrepreneur… or to make a strategic business move?
