Officially the best digital in-house team in the world! đ˛
It feels very surreal even to type, but this means that we can now claim to be the best digital in-house team in the world.
The judgesâ criteria for our category included âclear objectives, creative and effective implementation and and tangible and demonstrable resultsâ.
GDXA judge Paul Morris announced our win by explaining: âThis team was able to instil a culture of SEO throughout their organisation. The team made use of split tests to ensure appropriate results before implementing across the site, proving their value. A well deserved win!â
Referencing the number of Twinkl websites that the team has been involved in optimising â now 28, with more on the way! â Paul added: âAll of the judges were really impressed by the sheer quantity of work required in relation to the size of the team, which was a huge hurdle, but they managed very well with strong processes and evolving ways of working.â
The SEO team was formed in January 2019 to make it easier for Twinkl users around the world to find our resources on Google and other search engines and has grown quickly following positive results and the launch of new international domains.
Our GDXA entry discussed how the SEO team has scaled results by training the rest of the company in SEO best practice to make sure all new teaching resources are SEO-friendly at the point they are uploaded to the site. It also detailed how we have made use of programmatic changes to make optimisations across thousands of pages simultaneously, and pivoted the teamâs focus to build out successful projects, such as the creation of a Teaching Wiki section of the site.
We included a âbefore and afterâ of an optimised teaching resource page to demonstrate our content optimisation process to the judges, and shared results from some of our recent projects.
