It’s going to be a beautiful month in the Neighborhood
First there was Bob, then Julia, and now we’d like you to meet Fred. But you can call him Mister Rogers.
We are incredibly excited to announce an all episodes marathon of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood starting on May 15th at 12:00pm PT. All 886 episodes — including many episodes that have only aired once or are unavailable elsewhere online — will stream consecutively on twitch.tv/misterrogers. Let that sink in for a moment. 886 episodes!
In a lot of ways, Mister Rogers may have been the first ‘streamer’ that many of us ever watched. He’d always speak directly to his viewers in a welcoming, familiar way, and when you entered his neighborhood you immediately felt like a part of the community.
Join us in supporting your local PBS station
Fred Rogers made an impact on those who grew up watching him, and when we talked to some of our Partners about the marathon, they shared the same sentiment.
Because he had such a positive influence on so many lives, we decided this would be the perfect time to rally the Twitch community to help support your local PBS station via a donation panel on /misterrogers. If you’re enjoying the marathon, or have fond memories of Mister Rogers from your childhood, it’ll be super easy to donate to this great cause. Throughout the marathon, we’ll be sharing personal stories from our Partners about the importance of PBS and its programming.
