Spring Boot Admin to monitor myself?

It sound a bit crazy, but it is possible to execute Spring Boot Admin and application within the same app.

Might be useful if you simply want to invest in a actual topic or for development.

#1 extend your configuration, you can check my config:

https://github.com/robertdiers/spring-boot-admin-extension/blob/main/src/main/resources/application.yml

#2 add dependencies

<dependency>
<groupId>de.codecentric</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-admin-starter-server</artifactId>
<version>${spring.boot.admin.version}</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>org.springframework.cloud</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-cloud-starter</artifactId>
<version>${spring.cloud.version}</version>
</dependency>
<dependency>
<groupId>de.codecentric</groupId>
<artifactId>spring-boot-admin-starter-client</artifactId>
<version>${spring.boot.admin.version}</version>
</dependency>

#3 add annotation

@EnableAdminServer

#4 build and start the app…

http://localhost:8080/

DONE…

(looks like static content is ignored after activating the admin, nut sure if this is important for you.)
